On 23rd to 24th May 2018, the 11th International Scientific and Professional Conference “Crisis Management Days” was successfully held on Brijuni.
This year, 134 participants from 10 different countries participated in the Conference, and 77 professional papers were submitted, 20 of which were poster presentations.
The Conference was sponsored by sponsors and partners, without whose contribution and support, success would not be possible. It should be noted that the Conference was opened by the envoy of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Captain Ivica Mandić. The first to address the guests, participants of the Conference and authors from Croatia and countries around the EU, was Ivan Toth, the Dean of the University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica, who stressed the importance of the continuity of this International Conference dealing with crisis, dangers and threats of modern society, of which we all are witnesses. The president of the scientific committee Siniša Tatalović introduced the topics and the structure of the conference to experts in the field of crisis management.
The topics of the Conference were: Contemporary security threats, Security of local communities and crisis management, Business continuity, Crisis communication and risk management, Systems, devices, means and equipment for crisis management, Environmental security and sustainability.
After eleven successful conferences we can announce that the next 12th Conference “Crisis Management Days” will be held in Opatija from 8 to 10 May 2019.
